Smoke extraction system

Smoke extraction systems are an essential part of exhaust air purification in energy-intensive industries such as die casting or food processing. In these industries, the exhaust air concentration is traditionally very high. A custom-made smoke extraction system helps to extract any harmful smoke from the exhaust air stream. Smoke is a gas or gas mixture containing solid particles and tiny liquid droplets which can be harmful to health or damaging to machines.
For an efficient exhaust air purification, KMA Umwelttechnik combines its high-performance electrostatic precipitator modules with an efficient smoke extraction system. The smoke extraction systems capture the contaminated exhaust air directly at its emission source and direct it to the energy-efficient electrostatic precipitator module. The smoke extraction system can be adapted to the different production cycles of the respective machines using the innovative technical interface.
This is particularly important in smoke houses, where several smoking chambers emit large quantities of highly contaminated exhaust air simultaneously. Adapting the filtration cycle to the production cycle of the respective machine optimizes the exhaust air purification. The use of an efficient smoke extraction system is also necessary in die casting. The use of abhesives during the casting process results in a strong development of smoke. The smoke contains various gases, particles and pasty aerosols, which can clog and damage the production machines or have a negative effect on people in the immediate vicinity.
