The exhaust air problem in the baking process is characterized by high particle and odor pollution, especially by contamination in the form of oily and pasty aerosols. In our case study, the customer Apetito produces pancakes.

Company Apetito - environmentally friendly production of pancakes
The customer Apetito, with an exhaust air volume of 12,000 m³ / h from two pancake production lines, was previously equipped with a mechanical pre-filter and a carbon filter. These should reduce the odor pollution and the impurities in the exhaust air. However, the filters did not give satisfactory results.
KMA ULTRAVENT for use in baking
We installed an ULTRAVENT exhaust air filter system with integrated heat recovery for the customer.
For this application, the filter system was equipped with the following modules: electrostatic precipitator for exhaust air filtration and a double UV light module with a downstream carbon adsorber for odor separation.

The KMA exhaust air filter system achieved great savings in terms of costs, CO2 pollution and odor emissions:
• Every year almost € 425,280 * less energy costs compared to TNV
• 1,737 tons less CO2 ** per year
• Reduction of the odorous substance concentration from 21,400 GE / m³ to below 100 GE / m
