Product recovery

Das offene röhrenförmige Design verhindert das Verkleben der Filteranlage

In an industrial context, the term product recovery describes the hygienic recovery of raw materials, metals, chemicals or solutions. For many companies the recovery of raw materials without loss of quality as part of the production process plays an important economic role.
Hygienic exhaust air filtration offers an efficient approach to product recovery. Especially in food processing or pharmaceutical production, the exhaust air contains valuable raw materials and product components. These materials and components represent an enormous saving potential. Due to hygienic exhaust air filtration, it can be recovered, recycled and reused for subsequent production steps. The recovery of raw materials, product components and fats is especially important for pharmaceutical productions and the food industry.
The high-performance exhaust air filtration systems KMA AAIRMAXX® by KMA Umwelttechnik are especially adapted to these requirements. The exhaust air is collected in a by custom-made extraction hoods and transferred via a pipe system to the KMA filtration system. Residues and particles are extracted out of the exhaust air in the electrostatic precipitator module using electrostatic charging. Solid particles are driven to the outer walls and collector plates, while liquid residues flow downwards into an external tank.
Product recovery is a particularly important economic factor in the spray drying industry. During the spray drying process, the hygienic exhaust air filtration recovers large quantities of product components from the exhaust air stream that would otherwise be discharged via the ventilation systems. In addition to economic reasons, product recovery is also an essential part of the corporate environmental protection. A high product recovery rate has a positive effect on the company’s overall life cycle assessment.
