Extraction (smoke, exhaust air)
Extraction (smoke, exhaust air)
The term extraction describes the extraction of an air mass at an emission source. The impurities contaminating this air mass, e.g. dust particles, oils or aerosols, can be extracted using an exhaust air filtration system. Contaminated exhaust air can be extracted using centrally and decentrally installed purification systems (see also: hall extraction systems).
The efficient extraction of smoke and exhaust air requires the use of a custom-made extraction hood with specifically adapted to the production machine. In advanced smoke extraction systems, the extraction cycle can be specifically adapted to the production cycle of the respective production machine using a technical interface (OPC UA interface).
