An emulsion mist separator is an exhaust air purification system specifically adapted to the separation of emulsion mist. The KMA emulsion mist separator consists of a single-stage electrostatic precipitator module. This form of exhaust air purification is particularly used in food production, e.g. in smokehouses or frying plants, or in metal processing.

To extract the emulsion mist, the contaminated exhaust air is contained and transferred to the emulsion mist separator via piping. Here larger droplets are first extracted due to the force of gravity and then separated. In a second step, the production exhaust air passes through the high-performance electrostatic precipitator module. Inside the module even the smallest droplets and impurities are contained and separated through electrostatic charging. If required, the emulsion mist separator can be connected to a exhaust gas scrubber or further exhaust air purification modules.
