The Foundry Star Alliance (FSA) is an independent group of leading companies led by the die casting machine manufacturer IDRA. The goal is an interdisciplinary cooperation to increase efficiency in the die casting industry.

All members of Foundry Star Alliance offer their individual expertise to optimize plant design, operating, serviceability and maintenance as well as other aspects and to adapt them to the industry’s current challenges. This includes the development of new standards and measures for increased interconnection and integration of different machines and systems into one seamless system. This is particularly important in view of increasingly strict environmental protection regulations and an ever growing demand for more efficient and effective production of cast products.

As a leading expert for exhaust air purification, KMA Umwelttechnik contributes significantly to the improved integration of exhaust air purification systems into existing as well as newly designed foundry plants and casting cells.
