Waste heat utilization

Waste heat utilization

Waste heat utlitization defines the use of waste heat from the production process for different purposes. During the production process, waste heat is generated as a by-product, e. g. through the running of production machines, and is usually bound in exhaust air or liquids.

To utilize waste heat efficiently, companies implement heat recovery systems. Is the waste heat bound in the exhaust air stream, companies use heat exchangers based on a gaseous or liquid carrier medium, e.g. air, water or special coolants, to extract the waste heat. The carrier medium provides a highl thermal conductive.

If requested, KMA Umwelttechnik combines its exhaust air filtration systems with air-air or air-water based heat exchangers.

The recovered heat can then be used in subsequent production processes or to heat the production halls and other buildings.
