Industrial exhaust emissions

Industrial exhaust emissions

The term pollutant describes substances in the environment and which, under certain conditions, can have harmful effects on humans, animals, plants or other organisms. The concentration, quantity and parameters under and in which these substances occur are important factors to classify a substance as a pollutant.
Pollutants can be classified into different categories based on chemical or structural properties. The chemical properties divide pollutants into inorganic, natural and anthropogenic pollutants. On a structural level pollutants are divided into dusts, fine dusts, liquid droplets (vapors, aerosols) and gases.
Emissions or exhaust air from industrial and commercial production plants are usually contaminated with a mixture of different pollutants. Exhaust air purification is therefore subject to strict legal requirements, in order to minimize the impact on people and the environment. In order to meet these requirements, companies from all industries rely on the highly efficient exhaust air purification systems by KMA Umwelttechnik. The modular design of KMA exhaust air filtration systems allows a customized integration into existing filtration systems and production lines.
